This weekend I will be riding my buns off.
What did I get myself into? Groan!
I went to the bike shop and got 'slicks' and a female seat.
This in anticipation of the great pain and in an effort to alleviate some of it.
Slicks are skinny tires which are supposed to reduce the amount of velocity lost to friction.
Female seat being a seat that is designed with the female body in mind to...well... reduce pressure to certain areas.
I have been talking to some veteran bikers as of late. You should hear the things they do in order to have a comfortable ride. One of which is using a product called 'utter cream'. YIKES! I firmly believe that you have to be at least a little nuts to be an extreme athlete.

CONGRATS! You did it! and did it right, not like some of the others that CHEATED by hitching a ride and crossing the finish line. You were riding for a good cause and you did a great job! Keep up the PEP!
